Widia Turning Grooving & Parting |
Grooving and parting operations generally make use of the whole length of
the cutting edge, known as the width. Width and
depth of operation are determined by the geometry of the insert and the method
by which the insert is held. V-shaped insert
locating surfaces and/or pin-type holding methods guarantee reliable positioning,
even under one-sided loads.
Chip control and removal have been given special attention with specially
designed chipbreaker geometries that rule out
problems with chip clogging or uncontrollable ribbon chips in grooving and
cut-off operations.
The extensive program includes inserts for grooving, cut-off,
profiling, and undercutting.
